TRAUMA SURGERY

Trauma surgery may be required for patients who have suffered fractures, internal bleeding, torn ligaments, head traumaor major chest and abdominal injuries.

Trauma surgery is fast paced and demanding practice that involves resuscitation, stabilization, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.

ARTHROSCOPY

Arthroscopy, being a minimally invasive procedure has several advantages over the conventional open procedures like smaller incision, lesser postoperative pain, lower infection rates and faster recovery time.

Following arthroscopy, the small puncture wounds heal in a few days. Many patients return to work or daily activities within days and athletes may resume sports within weeks.

SPORTS MEDICINE

A sports medicine physician diagnoses, treats, and manages musculoskeletal injuries and related conditions. They also educate on injury prevention, nutrition, and rehabilitation. Additionally, they provide medical care during sports events and advise on safe return to play after injuries.

Sports medicine physicians are not limited to treating athletes only. They care for anyone with musculoskeletal injuries. Whether you're starting physical activities, engaging in light exercise, or a competitive athlete, you can seek their expertise.

REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

Stem cells, abundant in various tissues such as blood, fat, bone marrow, dental pulp, skeletal muscle, and even cord blood, when harvested and strategically injected at the site of damaged or diseased tissue, facilitate tissue reconstruction, provided the right conditions are met.

Tissue engineering involves the implantation of biologically compatible scaffolds at specific body sites where new tissue is needed. When the scaffold mimics the geometric shape of the desired tissue and effectively attracts cells, it results in the formation of new tissue matching the intended shape.

SPINE SURGERY

Backaches often occur due to everyday activities, such as lifting heavy objects improperly, twisting awkwardly while multitasking, or engaging in unfamiliar physical tasks, which our bodies may not be accustomed to.

If the pain is severe and extends down into your legs or leads to issues with your bladder or bowels, these are evident indications that back surgery might be necessary.

ARTHROPLASTY

Arthroplasty or joint replacement surgerymight be the only treatment optionwith proven efficacy when the joint is irrecoverably damaged and other medical treatments fail to alleviate pain and disability.

Possible complications may encompass issues such as bleeding, infection, and the development of blood clots in the legs or lungs. However, when safe surgical practices are followed, complication rates are minimal.

JOINT PRESERVATION PROCEDURES

Joint preservation procedures provide benefits like increased productivity, pain alleviation, return to physically demanding activities and avoidance of joint replacement surgery.

Physiotherapy, exercises, pain modalities like IFT, ultrasound, lifestyle modifications, weight reduction, yoga, and meditation, diet modifications, simple painkillers, NSAIDS, cartilage protecting drugs, off-loading braces, and injections into the joint are a few options.
